A trade mission composed of company representatives from a diverse range of American companies has come to Georgia to learn about the country’s business opportunities.
The trade mission, comprised of representatives from the technology, energy, health and other sectors, was headed by officials from Washington City Hall’s Small and Medium Business Development Department. The delegation arrived in Georgia yesterday and will leave the country later tomorrow.
The aim of their visit was to familiarise themselves with Georgia’s business environment, explore the opportunities available and establish business ties with local companies.
Today the American delegation is holding meetings with about 25 local companies. The group has already held several meetings with Georgian state agencies.
Earlier today the group visited Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency. There, the group was given comprehensive information about Georgia’s economic potential, investment environment and planned reforms, said Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit was encouraged by Georgia’s Embassy to the US and Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
