31 more villages supplied with natural gas in Georgia

The Government of Georgia continues to supply villages throughout the country with natural gas for the first time.

Today, Governmental officials lit a gas stove in the home of one family living in Zemo Nogha village, in Samtredia district of Georgia’s Imereti region.

In total 31 families were connected with natural gas in Samtredia.

Efforts to connect properties will continue this year. In total 3,500 families are expected to be supplied with natural gas by the end of 2016, said an official press release.

The state allocated 40 million GEL (about $17 million/€16 million*) in 2014-2015 to provide natural gas to 52,000 families in Georgia.
