President of Slovakia Andrej Kiska will arrive in Georgia for a state visit today.
This will mark the first time in the history of independent Georgia when the president of Slovakia has visited the country.
Kiska will attend his first Tbilisi meeting with President Giorgi Margvelashvili before the two leaders speak for media tomorrow.
While in Tbilisi the Slovakian guest will also meet Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Parliament Speaker David Usupashvili.
Kiska’s visit aimed to deepen economic relations between Georgia and Slovakia.
The visiting President was accompanied by a Slovakian business delegation. While here the group will participate in two business forums; one in capital Tbilisi and the other in Batumi on the Black Sea coast.
The two sides will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance trade and economic ties.
The Slovakian president will end his Georgia visit on June 2.
