Another snowy day at Georgia’s winter resort town Gudauri has seen the winter season extended for a second time.
Today mountain officials announced the Gudauri ski lifts would continue operating on weekends until the snow melted. The news was positively received by snowboarders, skiers and winter enthusiasts.
Gudauri officials did not specify how long the season would extend for but said the ski lifts would operate from 9am until 4pm on weekends until the snow melted and there was insufficient snow for skiing or snow activities.
Earlier, the winter season at Gudauri was extended to the end of April however several heavy snowfalls at the resort village saw mountain officials decide to keep the slopes open for longer.
