World renowned opera stars perform at Tbilisi charity concert

Six of the world's best opera singers are in Tbilisi to perform in a charity concert to save four very sick children.
Tonight's charity show will see internationally renowned tenor Fabio Armiliato, soprano Daniela Dessi, baritone Alberto Gazale, violinist Francesca Dego, conductor Daniele Rustioni and Georgian world-class mezzo soprano Nino Surguladze perform together with the Georgian State Symphony Orchestra at Tbilisi Concert Hall at 9pm.
The gala concert will raise money to fund treatment for four Georgian children in need of urgent medical care. The entire performance will be broadcast on Tbilisi-based Imedi TV and those who want to donate will be able to call 0901900999 during the concert.
The infamous opera stars were hosted by President Giorgi Margvelashvili and his wife before they visited Georgian Patriarch Ilia II yesterday, where they performed Ave Maria and invited the religious figurehead to tonight’s concert.
