The Georgian delegation is continuing to hold meetings with world leading companies at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland to introduce them to Georgia's investment opportunities.
The Georgian side provided representatives of Jindal Steel and Power and British Petroleum (BP) with information on Georgia's business environment, announced the Prime Minister's press service.
Jindal Steel and Power is an Indian steel and power company while BP is one of the leading global oil and gas companies.
Jindal Steel and Power chairman Naveen Jindal said he a very productive meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia and expressed his strong belief that the company's cooperation with Georgia would continue to grow.
BP, which was already operating in Georgia, planned to continue investing in the country, said its chief executive officer Robert Dudley at his meeting with Georgia's Prime Minister.
PM Irakli Garibashvili thanked Dudley for BP's investments in Georgia and expressed hope that this cooperation will continue to grow.
Meanwhile, Garibashvili discussed the possibility of Georgia's accession to the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) and its admission as an associated member of the organisation with CERN director general Rolf Heuer.
At the meeting, the parties discussed concrete ways to deepen bilateral relations and it was decided that cooperation will continue within the framework of the current ongoing projects, as well as expanding through new projects.
