Top US educators interested in Tbilisi Technological University

Professors from South Florida University, the fourth-largest public university in the United States (US) state of Florida, are visiting Tbilisi today to learn more about a new Technological University in Georgia's capital city.

The guests and Georgian Government representatives discussed ways of possible cooperation between South Florida University and the new Tbilisi Technological University, which is planned to open in several years' time. 

The Cartu Charity Foundation - a charity fund established and financed by Georgian tycoon and former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili - will finance building of the new university in Tbilisi.

South Florida University Professors Karen Holbrook, Roger Brindley and Robert Bishop met head of the Georgian Government Administration Maia Tskitishvili and talked about their ideas regarding possible cooperation on the university project.

The US professors expressed their interest in enrolling Georgian students in Master and Doctoral programs at the South Florida University.
