‘NATO will assist Georgia, Jordan and Iraq’, is the pledge British Prime Minister David Cameron made today at a meeting on the second day of the NATO Summit in Wales.
Speaking at a North Atlantic council meeting, the UK leader said if NATO wished to extend its security, it should export it to allies in Georgia, Jordan and Iraq, which he believed would be "the first step in a long-term commitment to help our friends and allies".
"I hope that we will be able to use our knowledge and competence to hold exercises in Georgia and Jordan,” Cameron said.
He noted that NATO should expand its cooperation with its partner countries to create a more effective, secure network, which will ensure stability in the whole world.
Meanwhile, one of the components of the NATO support package Georgia is set to receive later today foresees implementing a NATO military training center in Georgia.
