Georgia’s diplomatic corps in European countries celebrate AA

Georgia’s diplomatic corps in countries across Europe are celebrating today as Georgia signs the Association Agreement (AA) with the European Union (EU) today.

Fifteen countries around Europe are celebrating Georgia's "historical day" today.

In the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Slovakia, France, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Norway, Romania and Sweden, through the help of the local foreign Ministries, Georgian diplomatic corps are holding celebration events to mark the EU signing the AA with Moldova and Ukraine, Georgia’s Foreign Ministry said.

Officials of local Governments, diplomatic corps and members of the Georgian community living in these countries are invited to the events.

Therefore, after signing of the AA with reception event held at the Georgia’s embassy in Brussels.

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili with the official delegation was attended reception event at the embassy. Head of the Government once again congratulate "historical day” of the AA signature to the diplomat corps and member of the Georgian delegation.

Georgia signed the AA, which includes the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) with the EU today.

The occasion has been lauded as a historic step in which the country will make great political and economic progress.
