Georgia is becoming a safer place with less crime.
Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs today published crime statistics for first the five months of 2014.
According to the data, 11,912 crimes were registered in Georgia, out of which 7,932 cases have been solved, meaning 66.59 percent of crime were solved.
Figures showed in comparison to the same time last year, the crime rate had decreased by 9.86 percent.
The Ministry also published statistics specifically for May 2014.
In total, 2,250 crimes were recorded last month. Of these, 1,388 cases were solved.
Almost 62 percent of crime was solved last month, and the crime rate decreased by 13.63 percent compared to the May last year.
