Forty eight internally displaced families have been granted apartments in Tbilisi by the Ministry of Refugees and Accommodation.
An old factory on Jikia Street has been renovated into an apartment block for internally displaced persons.
The Ministry of Refugees and Accommodation trawled through more than 1500 applications from internally displaced people from Abkhazia and Samachablo before it decided on approving housing for 48 people.
In addition, a further 90 internally displaced families will be granted with the apartments in the near future, Minister Davit Darakhvelidze said.
