National Agency of Public Registry of the Ministry of Justice (NAPR) won award in the nomination of "The Best IT Agency.
The Grand Prix - "IT Agency of the Year was given to the NAPR on the 6th annual regional event organized by the Data Exchange Agency of the Ministry of Justice and ICT Business Council today.
In addition to Grand Prix the agency has won three nominations: The Most Successful Infrastructural Solution, The Best Management, and The Best Management of Informational Security.
"We are a development oriented agency. Lots of important projects have been implemented during recent years by the IT team in terms of e-governance. Consequently, it is very important for us to participate in this kind of competitions and particularly, to win them", - Head of the NAPR, Papuna Ugrekhelidze said.
There were about 50 nominated IT projects implemented either in business, or in public sector which finally resulted in 14 nominations. Alongside with the NAPR, award was gained by another legal entity of the Ministry of Justice. The Services Development Agency was awarded in two nominations: The Most Widely Used E-services and The Best Future IT Project.

The Best IT Solution of Business - Bank of Georgia;
The Best provider of IT Education - Instigate CJSC;
The Best Solution for informative/ cyber security - "Azri (Sense);
The Best Multimedia Project - Technology and Science Dynamics Inc.
This year's conference, held under the slogan "Information Technologies for the Future", was attended by 400 representatives from 20 countries. Cyber security and ICT development issues were discussed on the conference.
Interestingly, last years Grand Prix was won by the Ministry of Health and in 2011 - the Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of Justice.
The GITI 2013 was held with the support of European Unions E-governance Development Project and sponsorship of HP, Microsoft, Cisco, SAP, UGT, and Orient Logic.
