Georgia’s Special Investigation Service on Wednesday said it had arrested four individuals for sexual coercion and disclosure of personal information.
The Service said it had established the offenders had threatened their victims with leaking their intimate pictures and correspondence if they refused to have sex with them and other individuals.
The offenders, from different parts of the country and aged between 27 and 49, used their social media accounts to contact the victims before using their photographs and screenshots of their conversations for coercion and threats, said the agency, which has also charged another individual with dissemination of personal correspondence.
It added the five cases involving the offenders had been solved between January-March, with the changes involving up to eight years in prison.
