The leading Spanish sports outlet Marca on Wednesday highlighted the “excellent” performance of Valencia’s Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili against Real Madrid in the semifinal of the Spanish Super Cup.
In an article titled “Giant Mamardashvili, the hero of Valencia was left without a prize”, the publication noted the goalkeeper had saved his team from a goal by Vinicius in the last minute of the match, taking the game to extra time.
