Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Government members on Saturday visited Tusheti, Georgia’s northern highland region, to mark the annual Mountain Week and local Tushetoba celebrations with citizens of the mountainous locality.
The Government Administration said Garibashvili had called the Mountain Week an event illustrating the country’s “outstanding pride” in its highland regions, and highlighted the Law on Development of Mountainous Regions, approved in 2016 to encourage citizens to live and work in the mountainous regions.
