Those looking to discover local cuisine in Georgia’s northwestern city of Ambrolauri next week will benefit from additional flights taking them to a local food and drink festival Gemo Fest, the United Airports of Georgia announced on Friday.
The Natakhtari-Ambrolauri route will have an additional connection at 4:30pm on Thursday, while the return flight is scheduled at 2:10pm on Sunday. The festival is set to run between Friday and Saturday.
Organisers of the event have invited visitors to the first edition to "discover new tastes of traditional Racha dishes", in reference to the north-western region.
In addition to local food, guests have also been promised an exhibition and sale, music and other entertainment in Ambrolauri Central Park.
The project for the Gemo Fest is implemented with the support of the German International Development Agency, with organisers planning to make the event a regular occurrence.
