Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with head of NATO Liaison Office in Georgia Rosaria Puglisi earlier today and stated that the 2022 NATO summit is an opportunity to recognise the country’s progress on its path to the alliance.
Garibashvili and Puglisi stated that despite the coronavirus pandemic NATO-Georgia cooperation has been on the rise.
The meeting also concerned the progress Georgia has made towards Euro-Atlantic integration and democratic reforms.
The Black Sea security and Georgia’s role in this regard has also been discussed.
Puglisi thanked Georgia for its contribution to international peace and security.
