Georgia’s seated basketball team took gold in the wheelchair basketball competition defeating the US team at the 2019 Marine Corps Trials in California.
A team of 12 servicemen is taking part in 9th annual Marine Corps Trial competition for wounded, ill, or injured marines.

Georgia received 34 medals in various competitions of the Marine Corps Trials since its start on February 24, including:
The Marine Corps Trial is an adaptive sports event involving more than 200 wounded, ill or injured marines, sailors, veterans and international competitors.

The competition, which aims to promote recovery through adaptive sports participation, ends on March 10 looking ahead to some more medals from the Georgian team.
