Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze and the chairman of the board of the COSCO Shipping, Xu Lirong have discussed the partnership and investment opportunities at the meeting in Davos.

China Ocean Shipping Company, known as COSCO or COSCO Group, is a Chinese state-owned shipping and logistics services supplier headquartered in Beijing.

Xu Lirong has expressed readiness for further cooperation with Georgia emphasising the country’s significant role in the trade between Europe and Asia, as well as priced Georgian government’s efforts to increase the country’s transit potential.
