First Deputy-Chairperson of the Georgian Parliament Tamar Chugoshvili has been elected vice chair of the Socialist Group of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for the second time.

The Socialist Group is the second largest in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and consists of more than 180 deputies from different European countries. I often discuss Georgia’s role in EU and Georgia-European relationship. Our delegation does everything to highlight the country’s position and interests during the plenary sessions”, stated Chugoshvili.

Chugoshvili was elected as the Vice-Chairperson of the group in January 2017 for the first time.
