Georgian consulate opens in Lviv, Ukraine

A Georgian consulate has opened in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv.

Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine Gela Dumbadze officially opened the consulate at a ceremony earlier today. 

The consulate will be head by Ukrainian public figure, historian and government official Yaroslav Muzychko.  

Georgian Ambassador Gela Dumbadze and Ukrainian Foreign Ministry official Vyacheslav Voinarovsky spoke to attendants of the opening ceremony.

Voinarovsky thanked Georgian Ambassador Dumbadze on behalf of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin for opening the consulate as well as for the fast-paced development of Ukraine-Georgia relations. 

Georgian consulates also opened in Bulgaria and Serbia earlier in March.
