A Georgian consulate has opened in the city of Blagoevgrad, in southwestern Bulgaria.
A reception was held during the event, during which Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Bulgaria Tamuna Liluashvili spoke about the particular closeness of Georgia-Bulgaria relations.

She also focused on the significance of the honorary consulate for improving relations between the countries and providing Georgian citizens living in Bulgaria with better services.
Bulgarian officials, Georgia’s honorary consul Yuliy Nushev, diplomats, employees of the Georgian consulate, journalists, Georgian students and Diaspora representatives attended the ceremony.
