New park opens in Ozurgeti

A new recreational park has opened in Ozurgeti, in the Guria region.

The park has been made out of recovered marshlands.

After the area was drained, a small lake in the area was enlarged and various trees were planted around it.

The park also has a viewing space from from where visitors can enjoy a sea view.

A garden of tangerines was planted on the lower level of the park as well as garden houses.

Park official Nukri Chigladze said the park is a gift for Guria and future generations.

The new park is open from 10:00 AM to 19:00 PM.

Georgian businessman and Chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party Bidzina Ivanishvili sponsored the creation of the park.
