Metal pedestrian bridges will be demolished in Georgia’s capital city of Tbilisi and zebra crossings will be arranged instead, announces Tbilisi City Hall.
The process of dismantling has already started and in total 20 bridges will be demolished by the end of the current year.
A total of 307,805 GEL (about $114,213/€101,464) will be spent on the work.
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said that the bridges will be demolished at addresses where zebra crossing are already present.

The Transport Municipal Service of Tbilisi City Hall has already reconstructed five traffic lights on Guramishvili Avenue and will add zebra crossings for pedestrians in coming days.
