Georgia’s capital Tbilisi will be one of seven locations around the world to host club music enthusiasts in an extraordinary 24 hours of a raving marathon this summer.
At the city’s internationally acclaimed underground club Bassiani and associated venue Spacehall, a program of performances, installations, workshops and more will mark its place in a new global event organised by popular online platform Resident Advisor.
With the RA 24/7 event, the Bassiani/Horoom club and Spacehall will join spots in Berlin, Milan, Bogota, New York, Melbourne and London for the celebration of electronic music on June 29-30.

In multi-roomed spaces across the globe, we’ll curate a range of disciplines across seven individual events, each lasting 24 hours. One day and one night.”
[In Tbilisi] [we]'ll start with a concert in Spacehall from two incredible live acts. The Georgian capital's techno scene is in bloom, so we've got a huge number of local artists joining our top-notch international guests in Bassiani and Horoom, the venue's second room", said the program’s reveal by Resident Advisor.
RA 24/7 will involve day parties, sets by local artists, live performances, film screenings, installations, workshops and discussions, organisers said.
The line-up of artists for the shows will be announced in the run-up to the exceptional date, which is set to become the first 24-hour event at Bassiani.
The club, located under the major Dinamo Arena football stadium in downtown Tbilisi, has been recognised since its launch five years ago as one of foremost techno destinations around the world.
It has been praised for its contribution to reinvigorating the creative and artistic life in the capital, its impact on political activism of the youth as well as for its own merits as a clubbing venue.
The underground space collaborated with Resident Advisor in last year’s RA in Residence at Bassiani series, which featured performances by artists including Shackleton and Silent Servant in Tbilisi.
