Georgia’s border guards have detained seven people for attempting to cross into Turkey illegally.
The Interior Ministry did not reveal the identities of the detainees, but said two were Georgians while four from Bangladesh. One detainee is Uzbekistani.
They face four to five years in prison.

The seven detainees who are the citizens of Bangladesh, India and Yemen, have illegally crossed the Armenian-Georgian state border, avoiding the border control procedures.
