Georgia received $131.3 million from abroad in September 2018, while remittances leaving Georgia totalled $ 18.9 million, says the National Bank of Georgia.

Russia ($37.70 million), Italy ($16.42 million) and the United States ($14.20 million) were the largest remittance senders in September 2018.
Overall, the vast majority (92.9%) of all money transfers from abroad came from 16 countries.
After Russia, Italy and the United States, other countries regularly sending money transfers to Georgia in September 2018 included:
- Greece – $14.17 million
- Israel - $12.50 million
- Turkey - $7.23 million
- Spain - $3.36 million
- Germany – $3.39 million
- Ukraine - $2.28 million
- Poland - $2.01 million
- France - $1.75 million
- Azerbaijan - $1.56 million
- Kyrgyzstan - $1.56 million
- Kazakhstan -$1.46 million
- United Kingdom - $1.32 million
- Cyprus - $1.04 million
