Georgia received $144.2 million from abroad in July 2018, while remittances leaving Georgia totalled $ 18.9 million, says the National Bank of Georgia.

Russia ($43 million), Italy ($16.3 million) and Greece ($15 million) were the largest remittance senders in July 2018.
Overall, the vast majority (92.8 percent) of all money transfers from abroad came from 16 countries.
After Russia, Italy and Greece, other countries regularly sending money transfers to Georgia in July 2018 included:
- United States – $14.9 million
- Israel - $13.4 million
- Turkey - $10.2 million
- Spain - $4.2 million
- Germany – $3.5 million
- Ukraine - $2.7 million
- France - $1.8 million
- Azerbaijan - $1.7 million
- Poland - $1.7 million
- Kazakhstan -$1.6 million
- United Kingdom - $1.4 million
- Canada - $1.3 million
- Cyprus - $1.1 million
Russia, Greece and Italy are the largest remittance senders in April 2018, says the National Bank of Georgia (NBG). Last month Georgia received $35.3 million in remittances from Russia, $14.5 million from Italy and $14.9 million from Greece.
