Georgia’s main New Year three was lit up at 8 p.m. today in front of the former Parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi.

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze and his family hosted the guests attending various events in front of the Parliament, while the Gori Women's Choir performed festive songs.
I want to wish you peace, welfare, happiness and all the best. We have a lot to do and I hope all of you will play important role in development of our city”, Kaladze addressed people gathered around the New Year tree.

As the New Year is approaching, Tbilisi is fast transforming into a festive city, with new shimmer and twinkle New Year illuminations.
Most large-scale, open-air concerts for New Year holiday will be held on three locations: Old Tbilisi and in the suburban areas of Gldani and Varketili.
