President of Switzerland Doris Leuthard has stated that she gives the "highest scores” to the Georgian government’s activities and the "impressive reforms” the government has carried out.

I applaud your Government because the reforms undertaken by you are really remarkable. During this visit we will look further what we can improve in our bilateral relations."

The Georgian PM thanked Leuthard for her country’s support to Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and its role as a mediator in Georgian-Russian relations since the 2008 August War due to a lack of diplomatic ties.

We highly appreciate Switzerland’s support and welcome closer ties between us. We are very glad and welcome the rising bilateral connections between Switzerland and Georgia.  We are very glad to notice also the increasing trade and investments, and it is something we are committed to build a full-fledged bilateral partnership with your country," Kvirikashvili said.

The Swiss president arrived in Georgia yesterday and has already held a meeting with her Georgian counterpart.

She is scheduled to leave the country later today.
