Fire breaks out on 3 locations in eastern Georgia

A fire has broken out on the Kokhta mountain in Georgia’s eastern region of Kakheti today.
Two Iranian helicopters will assist the Georgia Emergency Service to extinguish the fire.
According to the Emergency Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the group of firefighters and rescuers has already gone to the location.
However, the forest is difficult to reach because it is several kilometers away.

The firefighters and rescuers have also gone to the villages in Georgia’s eastern regions of Kazbegi and Tusheti where the fire has reportedly spread on the grass.
UPDATED: The fire that broke out on the Mount Mtatsmnida in Georgia's capital Tbilisi this afternoon has been localised, the Emergency Management Agency announced. It added that now works are underway to fully extinguish it.
UPDATED: The forest fire near the town of Abastumani in southern Georgia have been localised, says Interior Minister Giorgi Mgebrishvili. Works are underway to liquidate it, he adds. Helicopters and aircraft no longer needed at the scene.
A fire erupted over about 0.5 hectares of forest lands on a mountain near the village of Sviri in the Akhaltsikhe municipality in southern Georgia yesterday evening. An Interior Ministry helicopter has been working to localise the fire since this morning.
