Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated at today’s government meeting that the visit of US Vice President Mike Pence to Georgia on July 31-August 1 will give another, big stimulus to Georgian-US strategic relations.
The fact that the Government of Georgia managed to establish very close ties with the new administration of the US is very important for development of the strategic partnership,” Kvirikashvili stated.
He stressed the bilateral strategic relations format between the two nations was developing dynamically.
The format included security, culture, people-to-people relations, democratic development, economy, energy and trade as key priorities.
We believe that Mike Pence’s visit to Georgia will give more push to the bilateral relations. Several important meetings are being held within the visit. I want to once again express my big satisfaction that the visit will take place soon,” Kvirikashvili stated.
The PM also highlighted the significance of the upcoming Noble Partner exercise in Georgia, with the participation of the US, UK and other NATO member and ally countries.
Kvirikashvili stated the drills were "very important for strengthening stability in the region.”
