Georgia is waiting for the first trip of US Vice President Mike Pence to Georgia late today, who will arrive with his wife and a delegation.
Georgian officials will attend a special reception for the Vice President at Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport at 7pm today.
After the ceremony, Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili will host Pence, his wife, and the delegation members at an official supper.
The next day, on August 1, Pence and Kvirikashvili will meet at the Administration building of the Government of Georgia at 10:15am, which will be followed by joint statements for the media.

In the afternoon, at 15:15am, Pence is scheduled to meet the soldiers participating in the Noble Partner 2017 large-scale military exercise.
The US top official will leave Georgia at 16:00pm tomorrow.
Occupation will be the key issue discussed during the meetings with US Vice President,” Georgia’s Ambassador to the US David Bakradze stated.
Security, defence, trade, and economic relations will also be discussed,” Bakradze added.
Bakradze highlighted that Georgia’s Prime Minister’s meetings with Pence three times over the past six months speaks about the close ties between the government of Georgia and the new US administration under President Donald Trump.
Georgia’s Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze stated that Mike Pence’s visit to Georgia stresses that Georgia is the US’ "resolute ally and a strategic partner.”
