Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius is paying a visit to Georgia.
Today Linkevicius went to the villages near the occupation line between Georgia and its Russian-occupied region of Abkhazia to familiarise himself with the situation on the ground.

Linkevicius said what Russia has done is an international crime that has torn people apart.
He said it is sad to see how people are deprived of the opportunity to live an ordinary life due to the Russian annexation. Lithuanian Foreign Minister said Russia should realise this situation cannot continue like that.
Non-recognition policy is an international lever against Russia that should continue… This policy should be consistent until the situation is resolved”, Linkevicius said.
Linkevicius arrived to Georgia yesterday. He has scheduled number of meetings with the Georgian officials including President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze, Parliamentary Chairperson Irakli Kobakhidze and Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II.
