Lithuanian FM believes Georgia will dispel of all doubts on visa liberalisation

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius says that Georgia will dispel of all existing doubts over the Georgia-EU visa free deal.
Despite some problems we believe this will happen. We see Georgia’s progress and advancement in many fields. The success is obvious within the Eastern Partnership program as well,” The foreign minister told Georgia’s Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia today in Lithuania.

Gakharia briefed Linkevicius over the changes the Georgian Dream government had initiated to prevent the illegal flow of Georgians to EU member states, with the help of the Georgia-EU visa waiver obtained in March of last year.
We are ready to continue supporting Georgia,” Linkevicius said.
Gakharia thanked the Lithuanian government for their continued support for Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius is paying a visit to Georgia. Today Linkevicius went to the villages near the occupation line between Georgia and its Russian-occupied region of Abkhazia to familiarise himself with the situation on the ground.
The Lithuanian parliament has prepared a four-year action plan on support to Georgia.
Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili met with the Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite during his first visa-free visit to Vilnius.
"I hope Georgian citizens will soon be able to travel within the European Union (EU) freely.” This hope was expressed by Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius as he spoke at a joint press briefing together with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in Vilnius today.
Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze, has emphasised the importance of the responsible implementation of the visa liberalisation tool by Georgians.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius, currently on an official visit to Georgia, has stated that his country strongly condemns the erection of illegal fences by occupying forces and the holding of so-called elections in the Russian-occupied Georgian regions.
