Georgia's seaside city Batumi will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its annual Black Sea Jazz Festival with an all-star line-up of globally recognised musicians and bands.
The popular summer occasion has become known for bringing together renowned performers for guests who flock to the city from across Georgia and abroad.
However, this year's festival will feature a special program of celebrated bands and individual musicians who have left their mark on the music industry.
Launching today with a performance by famous American composer and producer Quincy Jones and his band, the occasion will set the standard for the subsequent events until its conclusion on July 24.
Jones arrived in Georgia on his private jet yesterday, and was welcomed to the seaside city where the Batumi Tennis Club will again serve as the host venue for the festival. In addition, the city's Take Five Club will also host parallel shows by the visiting artists.

Davis' legacy will also be subject of a local premiere of the 2015 biopic Miles Ahead, hosted by the Apollo Cinema Theatre in Batumi.
Directed by Don Cheadle, the feature film will follow the life and musical career of the jazz legend who passed away in 1991.

The musicians performing in the space will include the Batumi Big Band and the National Guard Military Orchestra.
Returning to the Tennis Club venue, the Black Sea Jazz Festival will invite British group Renegade Brass Band alongside Jamie Cullum, widely recognised as the most successful young British jazz artist.
