Georgia has opened its honorary consulate in the republic of Peru to further strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
The consulate will be led by Pilar Deza.
At the opening ceremony Georgia's Ambassador to Peru Otar Berdzenishvili wished success to the new consul.
Berdzenishvili expressed his hope Deza would continue to deepen the relations between Georgia and Peru and increase the awareness of Georgia in the South American area.
Additionally, while speaking at the opening ceremony, Deza expressed conviction the new honorary consul would encourage bilateral projects in different fields including business.
Meanwhile, Berdzenishvili thanked Deza for expressing her solidarity and organising a charity event in Lima for helping Tbilisi flood victims.
