Ilia Darchiashvili, the Georgian Foreign Minister, on Wednesday met newly appointed non-resident ambassadors of Peru, Honduras, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso and Uganda to discuss bilateral ties and prospects of future cooperation.
The Ministry said the meetings involved César Augusto De las Casas Díaz, the Peruvian Ambassador, Mauricio Arturo Bueso Chinchilla, the Ambassador of Honduras, Amanul Haq, the Ambassador of Bangladesh, Vinta Somé, the Ambassador of Burkina Faso, and Moses Kawaaluuko Kizige, Ambassador of Uganda.
The discussions emphasised possibilities of deepening relations between Georgia and the countries in economy, tourism and education, as well as the practice of sharing state service reforms.
The sides also pointed out cooperation within international organisations, with the diplomats noting their “strong support” for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and confirming readiness to continue “active cooperation”.
Darchiashvili congratulated the ambassadors on the start of their diplomatic missions in Georgia.
