The Foreign Ministry of Georgia is welcoming the steps the country has taken to normalize the tense situation in Ukraine and return the country to normal.
"We believe the political crisis will be overcome in Ukraine regarding the country’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and rule of law, with the strong will and the unwavering efforts of Ukrainian people as well as the full support of the international society,” reads the Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement.
"All effective reforms will be implemented in accordance to the Ukrainian people’s legitimate will and European aspiration. Ukraine will take an honorable place in a big European family."
Georgia's Foreign Ministry confirmed its readiness to continue its close partnership and cooperation with Ukraine - a traditional friend country - in a bilateral sense and other formats including the Eastern Partnership Initiative.
On Sunday, Ukraine’s politicians embarked on the gritty task of turning revolution into reality, after an extraordinary week that saw around 100 people die during the clashes. Furthermore, the country's embattled President Viktor Yanukovych tried to flee the country after being relieved of his duties by parliamentarians.
