Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday highlighted his Government's commitment to responding to heavy snowfall affecting several regions of the country.
Speaking at a Government session, the PM called for a “full mobilisation” of all relevant agencies to address effects of adverse weather and ensure safety of the population.
There is heavy snowfall in several regions, and it is necessary to fully mobilise all agencies to combat the consequences of the disaster and take care of protecting the interests of the population as much as possible”, the PM said.
The official further assured “all necessary measures” would be taken in the coming days to “safeguard the public”.
