Natia Turnava, the newly appointed Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, participated in the International Monetary Fund Constituency Meeting in the Netherlands’ capital of Amsterdam on Monday, the Bank said on Tuesday.
Within the event, held for governors of the central banks of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, Turnava discussed ongoing topics and future cooperation with Jeroen Clicq, the Executive Director of the IMF and Marnix van Rij, the Alternate Director of the Fund.
Participants of the gathering reviewed the impact of geopolitical shocks on countries’ economies, geo-economic challenges and strategies on how to respond to them.
The conference was attended by Klaas Knot, the President of the De Nederlandsche Bank, Alfred Kammer, the Director of the European Department at the IMF, Jeroen Clicq, the Executive Director of the IMF, Gert Jan Koopman, the Head of the Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission and representatives of the NBG.
The IMF group of the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg unites Georgia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Andorra, Armenia, Cyprus, Israel, North Macedonia, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine.
