Eight Georgian teams participated in an international bootcamp in Madrid that saw a demo day hosted by the Google for Startups campus, the Impact Hub Tbilisi startup accelerator said on Wednesday.

The founders had the opportunity to present their products to representatives from the European startup ecosystem and other invited guests, the body added.

Over the course of three days, they attended training sessions led by local experts and mentors to gain insights into Madrid's entrepreneurial ecosystem while sharing international experiences.

Keti Ebanoidze, Co-founder of Impact Hub Tbilisi, called the international bootcamp “a success”.

During the training sessions, participants received important advice and recommendations from international mentors, established connections with key representatives of the Spanish startup ecosystem, and learned how to effectively present a startup to an international audience. We believe the experiences gained by the teams in our accelerator, Google for Startups, will be invaluable for their future success”, she said.

The participating startups included Aloha - a mobile application designed to enhance customer loyalty in the HoReCa sector, Altera - software tailored for small and medium-sized businesses that analyses financial data to identify tax compliance risks and suggests corrective measures, Hiera - a project management platform aimed at improving efficiency for interior designers, and Klics - a service that “helps medium and large e-commerce and retail businesses increase conversion rates by 30 percent” through gamified marketing campaigns and a conversion prediction system.

They also featured Quissly - a natural language e-commerce companion that assists online stores in boosting sales by providing customers with tailored offers, SHARA - an application available on Jira marketplace that identifies problems and obstacles and offers recommendations to facilitate a “rapid and effective Agile transformation” for organisations, Skippit -  a SaaS platform for SME professional service providers, enabling management teams to synchronise HR and project data for “data-driven strategic decisions and increased profitability”, and Strivvy - an online marketplace connecting gamers with budget-friendly coaching options, “allowing experienced gamers to monetise their skills”.

Since its inception in 2021, the accelerator has supported five cohorts, engaging a total of 103 startups. Participating teams have collectively received over €2 million in investments and grants, the body said.
