Flags on state institutions across Georgia were on Thursday lowered to half-mast in mourning for the victims of a fire in the Russian-occupied Abkhazia region in the north-west of the country on Sunday.
The fire claimed the lives of five minors in the village of Saberio in the Gali district of the region.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze declared Thursday a day of mourning following the incident, the Government Administration said.
The fire broke out in a house in the village before it claimed the lives of the minors.
