Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Friday said an appearance of Zurab Adeishvili, the wanted former Prosecutor General and Justice Minister of Georgia, in the German Parliament and European Commission was “extremely bad and harmful” for Georgia’s “European mood”.
Mdinaradze’s comments followed media reports that said Adeishvili last month visited the Bundestag as a part of a Ukrainian delegation.
We are not going to raise diplomatic scandals about it, but these public statements [from Georgian authorities] should be taken as a message - even a sharp one - from us”, the official added.
Mdinaradze also said Adeishvili’s presence in Bundestag was the “primary source for anti-Western and anti-European mood” in the country, and noted the former official was a “criminal and creator of a filthy system” under the previous Government.
