Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Chair of the Human Rights Committee of the Georgian Parliament, on Saturday said Georgia’s cooperation with China did not rule out or prevent the deepening of relations with the United States.
Commenting on the statement of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who on Friday highlighted that both the US and China were strategic partners of Georgia, Sarjveladze noted that “many European states” were successfully cooperating with both countries.
The Committee Chair emphasised that the Georgian Government “values and takes special care” of partnership and friendly relations with the strategic partner - the US, stressing “we would like these ties to be much more intense and active”.
