Customs officers seize $6,807 in undeclared gold items, diamond stones on Armenia border

Georgian customs officers seized ₾18,005 ($6,807) in undeclared gold items and diamond stones on the Sadakhlo Border Crossing Point on the country's southern border with Armenia, the Revenue Service announced on Thursday.

The Service said the gold items - weighing in at 103,15 grams - and the 261 diamond stones were seized during a physical and luggage search of foreign citizens.

The body added the individuals were fined ₾18,005 ($6,807) for the offence.
