Celebrating women in science, Georgia honours accomplished female scientists

In recognition of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science on Sunday hosted a special event to honour successful women scientists for their remarkable contributions to the field of science.

In his address to the guests of the ceremony, Nodar Papukashvili, the Deputy Science Minister, presented certificates to the distinguished women scientists, expressing gratitude for their invaluable contributions and emphasised the importance of implementing initiatives aimed at supporting and empowering women in science.

 

 

The event, co-organised by the Rustaveli National Scientific Foundation of Georgia, also featured a speech by the Foundation’s General Director Teimuraz Dochviri.
