Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Sunday expressed “great sadness and sorrow” over the tragic plane crash of the Jeju Air at Muan Airport in South Korea earlier today.
On behalf of the Georgian people and Government of Georgia I wish to extend our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased”, Kobakhidze said.
The head of the Government also added “Georgia stands in solidarity with South Korea and shares the grief of the Korean people in this time of sadness”.
As media reported, the Jeju Air passenger jet with 181 people on board flying from Thailand to South Korea crashed on arrival at the Muan International Airport in South Korea, leaving at least 177 people dead and two crew members injured.
