Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday said the composition of his Government would be presented to the Parliament for a vote of confidence next week.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze also called on all ministries to start working on the “final specification” of the Government programme, which will also be presented to the legislative body.
We have an ambitious task, which is reflected in the Government programme. In four years, we must take our country to a completely different stage of development, and our Government programme ensures this. Now the main thing is to work daily to ensure that all tasks are properly fulfilled”, Kobakhidze told a Government meeting.
He further stressed that his Government continued to “work for the development of the country”.
We discussed details of specific mega projects that are to be implemented in the coming years. We are also working on very interesting investment projects. In a number of cases, the work has already been completed and we will have an announcement regarding these issues very soon”, the Government head concluded.
Kobakhidze on Sunday expressed confidence that opposition parties, who are currently boycotting the results of last month’s parliamentary elections, would “eventually have to enter the Parliament”.
