Tamaz Iorashvili, the Deputy Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration, and Ioannis Grylos, the Head of the Greek airline Sky Express, discussed future cooperation regarding the beginning of direct regular flights by the airline linking Athens and Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi, the GNTA said on Saturday.

The airline has started operating direct flights between the Georgian and Greek capitals three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

The GNTA added the entry of the new airline into the Georgian air market would “further increase tourist flows from Greece”.

Sky Express becomes the third airline to offer direct regular flights between Georgia and Greece following Aegean Airlines, Greece's largest airline company, and Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air.
